Prom Night Rules - What Not to do at Prom
1. Don't wait to ask your prom date. - No matter if the prom is 1 month away or 3 months away, ask your possible date out as soon as you are sure of it. It's better to have that person accept or deny your invitation so that you are sure of things and can start organizing. And ladies, don't wait to be asked out! If you have someone in mind, go ahead and ask that special one.
2. Make a good color choice. - We talk a lot about color and how it's a good idea to go bright with your dress. Anyways, there are limitations. One of the, .. no the most important thing is to make sure you have choosen the best color for your skin shade. It is by complementing your skin tone that the rest of your hard work and decisions will glow. Your prom pictures will be great as well! 3. Length matters. - Regardless of this year fashion trends which are all about showing off some legs, just make sure you are feeling perfectly comfortable with the length of your dress. Also, don't forget to take into consideration your heel height, so you don't end up having too short or too long skirt. If you are not sure, it is better to buy a longer dress, in that way you can make corrections if needed. 4. The importance of accessorize. - This is the thing that can make your prom outfit amazing! This is your night to shine. You can do it either hair piece, a bracelet, a necklace, a earring, and so on. Keep in mind to not over do it, but have just enough to make yourself feel Hollywood glamorous. 5. Don't fight with your curls. - You know how it is. Those who have curly hair want it straight and those that have straight hair want it curly. Not matter if yours is naturally curly or straight, you should style your hair accordingly. After you can't fight with the nature, why don't enhance it? 6. Don't over style. - Whether it be your hair or the choice of your dress and accessories, don't over do it. Too much of a good thing can turn bad. We agree that it is important to be trendy and stylish, but having too many fashion trends for one night can be way too much.. Rather, pick one or two of your favorite spring trends and from there create a look of your own. 7. Don't forget your manners. - Believe it or not, manners and etiquette are of highly importance when it comes to prom or other official events of that kind.. You do not want to come across as impolite or inconsiderate of other folks emotions. Most manners are common sense and are already instilled in you. There are things that are apropriate and thing that are not. If you are not very polite as a person, please review some list of social etiquette rules. 8. Don't create prom drama. - Prom does have its negative aspects and drama is one of its greatest. With prom, drama arises from dress to date selections and almost everywhere in-between. Don't be stresses out! If things are getting really bad and your feelings got hurt, just take a break and get some fresh air. Things will work out in the end even if they turn out to be completely different than imagined. We are sure that you don't want to be remembered as the "drama momma"! 9. Do not be late! - Prom night is surely a night that everybody tends to get carried away with. It's not that the involved once shouldn't be excited, but time is a concern that needs to be number one. All that hard work to get a schedule ready shouldn't go to waste. Get to your location 10-15 minutes ahead of time. You don't want to cause the rest of your prom group to wait on you and you surely don't want to be left behind. 10. Do not touch anything last minute. - It is very easy to start thinking if we just added something more, or redid our makeup, or added extra makeup, or even redid our hairdo, that it will be absolutely stunning and perfect. Stop before you start to do this! It's quite likely that you already look perfect and don't need any retouches, particularly when the time is running out. Since we know our bodies and see ourselves in the mirror everyday, it is normal for us to believe we do not appear our absolute best because we know what that looks like. This doesn't mean that other people don't think that you aren't already gorgeous. Last minute retouches won't make you any good. They even tend to create disasters, sometimes.. You definitely want to avoid this. And remember the only thing you need, regardless of your dress, your eye makeup, your hairdo, and accessories is your good mood and smile.
